Today we found out that Bob's Uncle has kidney cancer. Please keep him in your prayers. They are doing surgery this week.

On a lighter note: Johnny and Maranda both received awards for their academic ability.

Busy Weekend

You can tell it is spring. We have gotten four wedding invitations already this season. I love weddings, but I was sad to find out that Bob's cousin was getting married on the same day as Karen and Jonathan. So we had a dilemma, where to go. We finally decided that we would go to Karen's wedding and then head to Columbus to Bob's cousin Shawn's wedding.

Karen's wedding was gorgeous. So simple and elegant. It was very fitting to Karen. She looked absolutely beautiful. We started out in the church, but Ellie has been fighting allergies and teething, so she had other plans. We ended up in the cry room.

After the wedding we left Charlestown and heading to Columbus in hopes of making it to the reception. Our plans could not have turned out better. We arrived at there the same time as everyone else, and before the bridal party.

We had a pretty enjoyable evening, and many of Bob's family members got to meet Ellie for the first time.

Boys will be boys

Let me start by saying that one day last week I came home to find Bob, Chloe, and the 4-wheeler covered in mud. Bob had been playing in the left over dirt from where we built the barn. Since it has rained alot the dirt has turned into mud. Last night John, Trish, and the boys came over. We had a cookout and then broke the 4-wheeler out.

This weekend

This weekend was Charlestown's Prom. I wanted to do something special for Maranda, so I took early Saturday morning to get her nails done. We had such a good time together. It is so hard to believe that she is a senior :(

Spring Break

Shew--Spring Break is over. Even though we did not go anywhere I feel like I have ran non stop. I had a to get a wisdom tooth pulled on Monday. I have real bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist, but with a few prayers and a lot of help from God, it was the best experience at the dentist I had ever had.

Bob took off Monday and Tuesday to spend time with Ellie and me. I had a bad headache on Tuesday, so he was so sweet and let me sleep in, while he took care of Ellie. Later that afternoon we took Ellie for her 4 month check-up. She had to get four shots :(

She weights 13 lbs and she grew more than 3 inches in 2 months and is now 24 inches

long. She is going to be tall and skinny.

Ellie was fussy all day Wednesday along with having a low-grade fever most of the afternoon and evening. It was such a beautiful day that I could not waste it inside. So Ellie and I went out shopping for her some much needed Spring attire.

Thursday was a boring, cold, rainy day. Friday was a little more exciting. I got to spend the afternoon with my cousin Kasey. She is growing up so fast and has turn into a beautiful young lady. She and I went to lunch and then shopping for a while. My best friend and her family got back late Thursday night from Florida and we could not wait to see them. So Friday evening we went over, shared pizza, and had a very nice visit. Ellie really loves Aunt Melissa and Uncle Scott.

Ellie's First Easter

The day was long, but fun. We started by going to church. It was a great service we a interesting twist at the end. Ellie set with Nette and was pretty good. After church we head to Bob and Janet's for a while. Ellie got a stuff duck sitting in a bath tub singing "splish, splash." She loved it.

After the short visit we left for dinner at my Nanny's. Of course everyone was so excited to see Ellie.

Ellie has had enough of Easter.

We had one final stop until we were finally home about 7:00 that night. We stopped by mom and dad's so they could give Ellie (and us) our Easter baskets.

So we decided that a foot of snow is nothing and it was not going to keep us locked up in the house. We have been wanting to go to the home and garden show for a while to get ideas about remodeling our home. So we met up with John, Trish, and the boys and headed to Louisville. The roads were surprisingly in great condition.

4 months

Ellie it is so hard to believe that you are four months old. You are changing everyday. You have outgrown most of your clothes. She are super skinny but very long.

You have learned two new things this weekend.

1.) You have found the power to squeal and that is all that you want to do. This continues to let mommy and daddy know how truely you are a happy baby.

2.) You have also realized that Chloe exsists. You now focus on her and follow her movements. If she drops out of site you are straining to look for her.

I can't wait to see how much you have grown in number when we take you to the doctor next week.
