Uptown

This evening Nicole and I took advantage of the break and went to Uptown Art. This was Nicole's first time, and well I think I have lost count on which one it is of mine. I really liked this painting idea, however, it was pretty hard because it was choose your own colors. I wanted this painting to match our bathroom whenever I decide I want to paint it. Bob and I finally choose a color.

When I came home Daddy and the girls had built a ginger bread house. I was so glad that he did this with them, because I really do not like the ginger bread house building. I really think he enjoyed it, so it was a win-win. :) Love that man.

Easy Baking

Christmas Decoration are down and put away. We went out shopping for a bit this morning and as soon as we got home my husband so kindly got down my boxes and 20 minutes later I had everything packed and back in the garage. 

Ellie and I spent some time this evening trying out her Easy Bake Oven.

Later in the evening Meg brought Eme over for a sleepover. After she arrived the girls were gone and we did not see them until bed time :). What a great day after Christmas.

Merry Christmas

I woke up about 6:00 to Maddie burning up with a pretty high fever. I gave her some Motrin and attempted to go back to sleep for a bit before the excitement began. We really could not go back to sleep and tossed and turned for a bit, before finally we asked Maddie if she wanted to get up. She seemed to be ok, so I went in and asked Ellie if she was ready. She hopped up quick ready to go. She was so excited, but Maddie had no interest in opening up gifts at first. About 30 minutes later after her fever broke, she came around and sat down with me as I helped her open her gifts.

Maddie's three presents she wanted was: Barbie Jeep, Poor Baby Brother, and she added An American Girl Doll in the last week on me-put I did get her something for her Bitty Baby, so that was close enough.

Ellie's only asked for crafts this year. But we knew she wanted an iPad of her own and boy was she excited. 

After we played for a bit, and Maddie started feeling better, we loaded up and went to Mom and Dads. The girls are a bit spoiled and they loved all of their gifts.

After a few hours at Mom and Dad's we again loaded up and headed to Nanny's for dinner.

We finished the day by stopping back by Bob and Janet's to wish them a Merry Christmas. The girls were beat. Ellie was starting to be snotty and was running a really low grade fever. I had stayed on top of Maddie's fever with meds--but she was just wearing down from only have a little nap. The girls were so excited when we got home and they could play--the only problem was they did not know what to play with first. 

Christmas 2013 was such a blessing even though we were fighting sickness, but it could have been worse. We are truly blessed. Thank you most Jesus for the best gift of all.

Christmas Eve

It was so nice to just lay around most of the day. I finished all of my shopping and running yesterday. I started feeling yucky on Friday during school, and this weekend has been miserable. The last few days I have not been getting very much sleep because I cannot breathe. Monday I felt some better just really tired. Today was the first day I woke up able to breathe. But I needed to catch up on sleep. Dinner at Bob and Janet's was not until 5:00, so we cuddled, played, and watched some TV. Then it was get ready. Love the girls outfits this year. 

Dinner was amazing, as always. We always eat too much. I was stuff. Again because of being sick, I did not feel like eating much. 

The girls could not stand it any longer, they were ready for presents. Maddie loved her princess stables.

Ellie brought this countdown home at the beginning of December. She has loved waking up each morning and tearing the number off (somedays she would get a little ahead with excitement). Buddy tore off the last number for her to see in the morning.

Uptown Fun

For Christmas, Meg took me to Uptown to paint tonight. Such a perfect gift for me. I really love this place. This makes painting #5, and this will be the third painting I will hang in my room. This little Owl Reindeer was so cute.
