Rehearsal Time

Tonight was the rehearsal and dinner for Eric and Nicole. Bob and I were pretty excited about a night out. My cousin Kasey came over to watch the girls at the house. I knew they would be spending the night somewhere tomorrow for the wedding, I wanted them in their own beds tonight.

The wedding is at the Holiday Inn in Clarksville, so the rehearsal was there. Then we went over to Buca di Peppo for dinner. It was so yummy. We were not fans in the past, but now that we know what to eat, we will definitely go back.

Preschool Year 1

It is so hard to believe that Ellie is done with her first year of preschool. Tonight her class had their program for the end of the year. Ellie was such the drama queen again. She was heard by everyone in the room. She caused a laugh from everyone.

Today we found speedy in the middle of the road. So we brought him home. He was quite friendly.

Summer Fun

Eric and Nicole invited us out to their camp at the state park this afternoon. It was a little streamy already for this time of year. They are getting married next weekend, which we can not wait for :).

Instagram

I just left my Blackberry for an iPhone a few weeks ago. Today I found a cool app called Instagram. Here are a few of my edits that I was playing around with today. Can you tell I have a lot of free time :)? It is only day two of no rehearsal, and I am loving all the time with my girls.

Wizard of Oz

Ellie made her acting debut this weekend in my first production at Charlestown High School. This was one of the best opening weekends I have ever had. Two big thank yous to Beth Spencer and Crit Fisher. I could not have put on this production without either of them.

There was one point during the Munchkins song that Ellie stole the show. She was so loud and animated. She is gonna be a little drama queen--literally.

Dreaded Call

As a parent you hope never to get the call from school telling you that something has happened to your child. I received that call today around 10:30, from Ellie's teacher. Ellie was playing in the gym. She was running and tripped on a ball they were playing with. She fell forehead first and hit the gym floor hard. I could tell her teacher was quite upset. I got ahold of Mom and she went to pick her up. Then we took her to the urgent care. After the doctor checked her out and ran a CT Scan just in case. She was fine, it just looked really bad. Here is a picture of her in the office. I am just thankful to God that she was not hurt worse. The head is so precious. He was definately looking over her.  

The Sounds in our Home

This is what we hear over and over again in our home. We had our full dress today for the Wizard of Oz. Everything seemed pretty good for a week out. We have some work to do, but it is going to be great. This has been such a busy week. I was out of town to the Vera Bradley sale last weekend (loved it as usual), Bob was out of town until mid-week, and a childhood friend passed away and his funeral was this week. Add on Ellie's dance, my IUS class, plus a full load of rehearsals. I am so tired. I know that next week will be even busier with us starting tech for the show.

More Progress

Easter 2012

I am glad that Easter was late this year. I love it when we can get out and enjoy the weather outside. We got the girls a outside playhouse and swing set for Easter. We spent the first part of Saturday working on the start-up. We were quite overwhelmed when we laid out all the pieces from the boxes. Little Ellie couldn't stay awake and took a nap.

  

We were having lunch at Bob and Janet's for Easter this evening. Here are the girls ready to go.
