Pictures of the Day

What a nice relaxing day. Bob was off we did a little shopping in the afternoon. After a nice filling lunch/dinner at Texas Roadhouse we came home. We had a couple of invite for NYE, but for the first time in years-staying home just sounded so much better. I really did not want to have Maddie out on the roads late, and we are attempting to get her on a regular schedule. So we stayed in and watch "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," which actually was really good-I was a little concerned in the beginning. Ellie went to bed about 10:45, and we dozed off and on. But I sure was wide awake to watch NKOTB and BSB perform on Rocking Eve. I am really considering tickets for one of their upcoming concerts. I feel like a middle schooler again.

It was nice to be in bed shortly after the ball dropped. Happy New Year Everyone.

Merry Christmas Eme

Today Meghan and Eme came over so we could exchange gifts. It is sad that it took us nearly a week to do so. The girls as always had a good time playing with each other. Ellie enjoyed getting her pet shops and Barbies. I made Eme a blanket, which I enjoyed giving her.

Today I had lunch with a few of my good friends from IUS. We got to meet Lillian (who was due two days after Maddie, but came four weeks before). It was so cute watching the two girls coo and talk to each other. They both are so small and petite.

I really enjoyed getting out and catching up with the girls.

When I got home from visiting with my friends, Ellie and Daddy were just waking up (yes it was about 3:00). After the great big organize, Ellie realized she had a lot of dress up clothes. So she wanted to have a fashion show. She was so excited to pose and having the new camera made it even more real for her.





She is such a ham. I love the sunglasses. I call them her umpa lumpa sunglasses. Also my best friend Cindy came for a visit to meet Madelyn. I was so nice catching up with her.

Organized

Today we went to Home Depot and found a cute block box with organizing bins. So this is what we did all night in Ellie's room. Everything is nicely in its place. Now to see how long it stays that way.

Merry Christmas

I can't believe that it is already Christmas. Being pregnant most of the year has made it fly past. Ellie woke up about 6 this morning and since she is newly afraid of the dark she yelled for us to come get her. So we brought her back to our bed for a few more hours of sleep (Maddie was still sleeping and I was not about to wake her). About 8:30 we all wake up. Ellie was still very tired.

Believe it or not she had no interest in opening up presents. She has been so excited for Santa and her American Girl Doll that she could not talk of anything else. Finally when she had finished opening her presents (it seemed like we forced her with some) she said, "Can I eat now." What? Really-that whole time all she was thinking about was eating. But after she downed breakfast she was so excited to play with everything, it was like she was opening them up all over again for the first time (with excitement this time).

After we got cleaned up we loaded up to go to Nanny's. We had a yummy dinner as always. Ellie got a new outfit for her AG doll and Barbie stuff. Nanny's surpried all of us cousins with a very special gift. I love my Nanny so much and I thank God everyday for another one to have her in my life.

After we left Nanny's we spend time at Mom and Dad's. The girls were tired but Ellie held on to get the presents I am sure she has been asking for for months. Some of the items she got were: some cute outfits, a camera, and games (UNO Moo and Red Rover). Probably her favorite thing was her new pair of crocs (she got a total of five pairs of shoes/boots for Christmas-I see a potential prob

What a great Christmas weekend. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family that strives to make sure my girls are happy.

Christmas Eve

I can not believe that it is already Christmas Eve. Today we laid around and rested up for tonight we would celebrate Christmas with the Jenkins. We had a good time. Ellie got tons of stuff but some of her favorite things were her Barbie cruise ship from Grandma and her games (Chutes and Ladders and Matching) from Aunt Sue. Madelyn got clothes and some toys. Nothing really exciting for a three week old. :)

Ellie was ready to leave around 8:30 to go home and play with some of her toys before she had to go to bed. So guess what we were doing this evening (putting a Barbie Cruise ship together-which took nearly an hour to do). She was all about sleeping in her bed and she fell asleep all by herself.

Why hello Ella

Today we added a new member to the family. Tonight as we were settling down in bed Bob went to lay down on his side and Ellie yells, "Daddy no, watch out." He responded by immediately sitting up and asking what was wrong. Ellie said, "My friend is there and you are going to smash her." This might I add was the first we have ever heard of her friend. We then started to ask questions about her new friend. It was so awesome watching her imagination work and this "friend" develop. At one point Bob patted his pillow to say hello and Ellie responded, "Daddy, don't spank her."

So here is what we know so far. Her Mommy dropped her off (not sure what that implies in a 3 year old's mind), she has a square body and round head. Oh and her name is Ella something, something. Not really sure what her middle and last names are. She does not travel with us because she is magic (not witch magic, but Disney bippity, boppity, boo magic--Ellie is really on a Princess magic kick).

I can't wait to see where this goes.

Upgrade

From this point on, nearly every picture posted will come from our new Nikon my husband brought home today. I am so excited. Merry Christmas to us.

Day Out

I have been missing my SHS friends since I have been out. Today Bob took Ellie to town to visit with Mom, and Maddie and I headed to Scottsburg for lunch with the gang. It was nice to get out of the house and visit with adults. Foto also brought our pictures. They turned out sooooo good. He is so amazing.

Santa's at the Firehouse

Well not exactly this year. Normally we have the fire dept Christmas dinner at the fire house, but this year it was at the Art and Enrichment Center. We did not arrive until late because we had pictures made with all 5 of the Jenkins grand kids. Boy was that a long adventure.

But dinner was very good what we got after being late. Also Ellie was looking forward to seeing Santa.

Trapped

So I am starting to think having another baby in the winter was a bad idea. I am so sick of snow and ice. I feel like I am trapped in my house. I don't want to get myself or the girls out in this messy weather. And the bad thing is they are calling for more freezing rain tonight. YUCK. So we stayed in our pajamas all day.
