Spring Break: Big Sur

Tuesday morning we left Palm Spring to head up the coast toward San Francisco Bay area (our next destination). We were encouraged to get a convertible for our rental to drive up the coast toward Big Sur. We had no idea what we were going to get ourselves into.

The mountains were so beautiful

After we passed around LA, it was no time before we saw the Pacific Ocean

Our view for the next 45 miles

We drove a winding, curvy, uphill, downhill road only going at most 45 MPH for about 45 miles
It was so beautiful

Around 6:00 we arrived in Monterey. A beautiful little town on the Pacific. Bob had been her before, and he wanted to visit the Fisherman's Wharf again.

Sea Lions

We ate at the Old Fisherman's Grotto. The meal was the best one of the trip.
And at the end of dinner, the waitress gave me a rose :).

It was a little rainy, but the area was beautiful, nonetheless

After dinner, we drove about 2 hours toward a hotel that would be near Bob's first job site he has to visit tomorrow. We stayed in a town called Walnut Creek, which was about 45 minutes from San Fran. This was such a nice hotel.
