Sounds like fun huh? Well it was not so bad. I drove up yesterday to Indy and met up with the rest of my department. (they all went up the night before, but I could not be away from Ellie that long)

We went to a couple of session on how to be a "better" teacher, then we met one of my best friends who moved to Indy last year. (She taught with us, before she decided that she wanted to be a nurse)

Wii Addicting Part II

Mom, Dad, and Nick came over this evening, and of course we broke out the wii. Let me first go back to yesterday. Bob and I found out that for about $5 a piece you can download old games to be played on the wii. So we decided that we would see if we could find Super Mario Bros. And we did, and it was awesome, and we cannot stop playing it. It is weird how technology is so advanced, but yet we still love and cherish the old games. (Oh and we also downloaded the original PacMan)

Anyway back to this evening. Nick started on Mario Bros and immediately wanted to play again and again. Then Dad wanted to play bowling. He and Mom used to play in a league many many years ago. So after he figured out the wii version he quickly took over the score board.

Any Suggestions

So we come home after church this morning to find that it had snowed. Our entire yard was covered.

So what's the big deal right? Well ONLY our yard was covered with snow. How does this happen?

The snow line is exactly on our property line.

It is almost Easter

Easter is quickly coming upon us and this makes me excited for two reasons. One it is Ellie's first Easter and two it is the beginning of Spring Break. I can't believe how quickly this school year has flown by. Only four weeks until SB, Yah.

I have read several of the books that make suggestions about how to raise your baby. Those books and most doctors say to wait until 4 months to start feeding solids to babies. I can't imagine drinking only milk for 4 months. Ellie started drinking a lot of formula every 2 hours about three weeks ago, so we started her on cereal and she loved it. She was back up to eating every 3 hours or so. But here recently she is back to wanting to eat every 2- 2 1/2 hours. She has also showed an increased interest in us when we eat. She stares at us while we are eating with her mouth open the entire time. If she is in my lap when I am eating something, she grabs at it the entire time and then gets mad when I don't give it too her (her temper will be another blog one day ;) ). So after one of her fits when I did not give her a bite of
my pizza I broke out the squash.







Squash...Yum :p I could not feed her fast enough. She wanted more. I had to cut her off.

By the time she was done, she had it all over herself. Needless to say, bathtime followed quickly after.

When she was about finished, she decided that she wanted to feed herself.

Such a big girl.

Mom fed her the rest today and she was just as eager to eat as she was last night.

We will try something new in a few days to make sure that she does not have an allergy to yummy squash (yuck) At least she is eating her vegtables, I can't say the same for us.

Wii Addicting

I have been wanting a Nintendo Wii for a long time, but I refused to pay a high price for one on Ebay. Just recently I finally got the opportunity to get one, so Bob quickly snagged it up for me. He said we could call it my Valentine's present, and I was ok with that. Now were are totally into the Wii. It is so much fun, and I feel like I am getting a workout everytime I play it.

We went to visit my Nanny. She has not really seen Ellie since Christmas. Ellie was is such a great mood, and I am always up to spending time with my Nanny. Here are a few pics from the evening.

I found an awesome place to get pictures done. (See my post 3 months for examples). It is called Click, and they are located in the shopping center in front of Meijer on Charlestown Rd. Their prices are really resonable, and the best thing is that they print the pictures while you wait. No more waiting for 2-3 weeks for them to come in. Snow Day Times Two

When I was younger, I used to pray for snow days. As I entered high school, I prayed for two hour delays because back then we did not have many built in snow days, so we had to make them up at the end of the year. It seemed like we were always going to school in June. Now that I am a teacher, I still do not want snow days, but I do LOVE 2 hour delays. Ellie is not old enough yet to enjoy the snow, and I hate snow. If I could live in a place and never see snow again that would be ok with me. But I will enjoy it for Ellie next year when she knows what is going on. Here are a few pictures from our snow filled days of fun ;)

3 Months

Wow it i so hard to believe that Ellie is already 3 months old. She changes so much every day. I guess I will follow suit and write a blog especially to my baby so she will have something to look back on.

Ellie, you are growing so fast. We are packing away an outfit everyday that you have outgrown. You have also started telling Memaw what you want to wear and what you don't. You love to play with your toys, now, and can hold them for a long time in your hands. Your smile is contagious and no matter how bad Daddy or Mommy are feeling, you can always put a smile on our face.

People flock to you. No matter where we are, people will always stop and make such a fuss over you, as long as they keep their distance. You do not like crowds, but love spending individual time with ALL the people who love you.

You are sleeping soundly during the night (just this morning you slept in until 8:00). Mommy has to wake you up most mornings to feed you before she goes to work (sorry). You like to stay up and play most of the day. You have not mastered playing by yourself, and so you must be entertained every minute you are awake.

You love your blankys and hold onto them while you are sleeping.

You love listening to music, epecially Mommy's old school R&B. Anything that has a catchy beat, you love to kick your feet too. (We already have a dancer).

You love Chloe, but make sure that she keeps her distance. If she gets too close you let her know by pushing her away. You love to pet her and you have started to gently tug her hair, but she doesn't mind because she thinks you are scratching her.

Bath time is great time. You love to splash and kick, but hate getting out. You love to be just in your diaper and your feet must be free at all times.

You talk constantly and we can't wait to hear what you have to say.

You are so special and are growing so fast. We can't wait to see how much you have grown in the next three months.

Another Unusual Friday Night

This evening one of my good friends Laura from work came to dinner with her husband and two beautiful girls. We had a nice dinner, (Yes, I cooked and it was good). Her two girls (Allyson and Emily) love Chloe and wore her out completely. Ellie also loved the attention.

Not a typical Friday night

We never leave the house before seven on Friday nights. But this Friday we were gone by 5:00 and it was great. Ellie spent the day with Aunt Trish and Uncle John. So when Bob picked her up they decided that we should all go out to eat. We went to one of our favs, Texas Roadhouse. After we were finished (at 7:00, when are normally eating at 9:00) we decided to TRY to go and visit with my aunt and uncle. To our surprise they were home, and we spent a great evening with them.

For Bob's birthday I got him tickets to Reba and Kelly Clarkson. They put on an awesome show. It was very low key. Here are a few pictures from the show.

Bob turned the big 3-0 on the 13th and we had a surprise party for him. We had about 33 people come and we had a good time, except for the fact that Ellie got tired of being passed around about 15 minutes after we arrived. She was fussy the entire night.
