SB: Day Six

Wow what a day. About a month and a half ago I came down with a nasty cold. And of course I passed it to Maddie, who passed it to Ellie, who passed it to Memaw and to Bob, and then Dad finally got it of course. Well all of us in our house got rid of it, but Ellie. She has had a chronic cough for weeks. She coughs so much that it wakes her up at night. So today when we were heading to town to Grandma's house, she asked me to call the doctor because she was tired of being sick. I was able to get her in about 1:20.

I was meeting a few of my friends for lunch, so Ellie (which she did not like) had to come with me instead of staying and playing at Grandma's with Maddie. But we had a nice lunch, and then headed to the doctors.

She did not have a fever (knew that because the cough is the only symptom she has had for weeks). Also she is now weighting in at a whole 28 pounds. The doctor listened to her lungs and said that he could not hear anything but she was not really taking big enough breaths. He wanted to send us to the hospital to get a chest x-ray to make sure it was not communal pneumonia.

I was a little worried because this was her first trip to the hospital. Since she was just getting a chest x-ray and I wanted the results today I took her to Clark. She was so good and the x-ray was easy. I had not even gotten to Watson on 62 when the doctor was calling me to say that her chest was clear and to treat it as an allergy. He gave us some good samples to hopefully we can get rid of it before she gets it again during this upcoming allergy season.

After we got home I started dinner. Meg, Josh, and Eme were coming over for the boys to work on something. Eme and Ellie initially play so well together, and then they get tired of each other. That did not really happen tonight.

SB: Day Five

Today I decided that we were not going to do anything but go to town to have lunch. So we stayed home all morning. Then we met Melvin and Donna at the Chinese Restaurant in town. This is Ellie (and their) favorite place to eat. However, she just eats jello and chicken nuggets. But I guess they have the best.

Then while we were on our way home it was snowing, yes snowing on Spring Break. I can home and decided to cook dinner once this week. I love chicken and noodles. I am always up for a challenge so I tried to make homemade noodles. And they even turned out, amazing. They were a little thick, but they were some of the best made from scratch noodles I have ever eaten. Yummy.

Then we had a relaxing evening at home.

SB: Day Five

Today was suppose to be the day of nothing, but it turned out to be the busiest one. I started with a hair appointment. I was ready for a change and wanted to go back blond again. So we began the process. It turned out really good.

Then I picked the girls up and went to meet up with Janet. She bought the girls cute dresses from the Little Dolly Shop in Pigeon Forge, and she wanted to get their pictures taken. So after some shopping and lunch at Ellie's choice (Pizza King) we went to Click to have the photo's taken. Maddie was not feeling it, and Ellie was to busy acting like a diva (I mean princess :) But after an hour we finally were able to get a few good shots.

On a sad note a storm brought in a cold front and it is only going to be in the 30s tomorrow. BOO

SB: Day Four

Today we were planning to go to the zoo with Mom. We slept in kinda late and not going to lie, it was nice. Maddie has been sleeping through the night since right before I went back to school. She has still be getting up around 5:30/6:00 (which is her normal schedule when I am going to work) to nurse, but falls immediately back to sleep and does not wake until about 9:30ish. Ellie has been sleeping in until about 9:00/9:30. After we laid around for a while, I asked Ellie if she was ready to go to Memaw's and then to the zoo. She responded that she did not really want to go to the zoo, but to just play at Memaw's instead. Which was fine with me. It was again another beautiful day and going to be 80.

We had a nice visit. And really got to take advantage of the weather.

SB: Day Three

I was not really planning to do anything today but play outside, but Shelby called and wanted to know if we wanted to go to the park with her. She was with Janet. So we met for lunch, and then headed to Perrin Park to feed the ducks.

It kinda got a little hot today (not complaining I love it). It was near 80. After feeding the ducks we took a walk around the park. It was nice. Maddie came and ran errands with me, while Ellie went shopping with Grandma and Shelby.

SB: Day Two

Today I had my thirty-one party. Thanks to everyone who came, I appreciate each one of you and your willingness to support me. I made chicken salad for the first time, and it turned out amazing. I made quite a few sandwiches knowing that I would be home all week and that I could snack on them. But everyone else must have liked my sandwiches too, because there was only two left.

The day was so beautiful. Bob was gracious enough to let me have the party in the garage. We left the doors up and the sun shining in was amazing. I had a pretty good show, and I was able to get a lot of stuff free or half off.

The girls got to see all their favorite people, so they were happy. After the party was over Meg, Josh, and Eme came to drop something off. The girls also got to play. It was cute watching Ellie and Eme play in her trampoline. Have I already said the weather was beautiful :)? Who needs Florida. It was 8 o'clock before we knew it. I love that it does not get dark until later.

Spring Break: Day One

NOTHING. That is what was on the agenda for today. I can not even remember the last time we had a free Saturday (just looked at my calendar and it was NY Day). The only time I left was to go to the store to get a few items for my Thirty-One party I am having tomorrow. Bob and I spent some time outside cleaning out the garage, but not much.

Visit from the Boys

Johnny was home from school this week. Ellie really loves Johnny. We were taking him home this evening, and when we went to drop him off he was locked out. So he came home with us. Ellie was so excited that she thought Johnny was spending the night. She fell asleep before he left.

After Ryan came to get Johnny, we took Ellie into her bed. She immediately woke up crying for Johnny. She was upset 1) the he was not sleeping on the couch and 2) that he did not say goodbye.

I am so excited that today was my last day of school for a week. It will be a much needed rest, but when we go back we do not get a day off until Memorial Day.

St Patrick's and Early Easter

Today was beautiful, just a little too windy, but quite warm. It has been so nice this week leaving school at normal time. But of course Bob had to go out of town to Louisiana and Texas, so I still did not get home some nights until late. That was in part to Mom inviting me to dinner each night so I would not have to cook (like I do really anyway). It was very nice of her to do that, and Ellie really enjoyed staying extra to see Papaw.

Bob got home late last night. So we were excited to come home and wait for him to get off. Ellie could not wait to get outside to play. When Bob got home he had an early Easter surprise for her, a new trampoline. She has been asking for one for about a year and a half now. We agree that she is big enough to get one.

Final Show

Today was the final show. It was definitely bitter sweet. I was sad to see the seniors perform for their last time, but also glad for it to finally be over so I can spend more time with my girls. This was a fun show, and I am so glad that the kids get the opportunity to shine.

Opening Day and Cast Party

Tonight was opening night, and besides a missed scene and a bunch of little kids upset because they did not get to say their line, everything went great.

Good bye dear, I will see you at Easter :(During my pregnancy I was so sick, and the only thing that helped me to feel better was Coke. At first it was just Coke's. So I decided to back off the caffeine and was drinking non caffeine drinks. So I decided to give up all carbonated drinks-and wow it has really been a long day mixed with the week before my show opens.

But it is all about sacrificing for Jesus.

Charlotte's Web Dress Rehearsal

Bob did such an awesome job on the set. We actually had a real barn :)

Today was our first dress rehearsal, and boy was it stressful. Normally I am excited about this day because it is the first time we get to put everything together. Because we perform on a stage that is used often by other groups and in a gym that is used by multiple sports, we can not be on full lights, sound, and curtain until our first dress rehearsal. I will admit it was pretty hard to get adjusted to at first, but now that we are used to it we go with the flow. However, this year we had another snag. Yesterday during a pep rally we found out the sound system was not working. So would could not even be on full sound today. But we made the most of it, and now are praying that the sound gets fixed by show time less than a week from today.

Today after church we went up to school to assemble my set for Charlotte's Web. Bob has been working many hours on making it just right. I never could have imagined just how good it could actually look. Thanks to my wonderful husband.

Dedication

Today we had Maddie dedicated at church. I did not get any pictures because...well because I really don't have a good reason why. But they did take a picture of us a church, so when I get that I will update this post.

We have such an awesome family. Thanks to each of you who attended Maddie's special day.

Initiated

Madelyn was so little when she was born that Ryan wanted really no part of holding her. He and Tricia came over today for a few minutes, and for the first time he actually held her for a while. But that came with a price. Maddie threw up nearly her entire feeding on him. He was ready to quickly give her up and he felt pretty lucky to have an extra shirt in his car.
